ITKAN Cut

How the service works and what we stock. Thicknesses, densities and sizes are read live from the catalog, so this page and your quote can never disagree.

Overview

ITKAN Cut is CO2 laser cutting of flat parts from sheet stock. You upload a DXF or STEP file of one flat part, the geometry is checked and previewed, you choose the stock and quantity, and the quote is itemized before you order.

Everything cut here is a flat profile: an outline and its interior features, cut all the way through a sheet of a single thickness. There is no bending, milling or engraving in the ordering flow, a part that needs those is a different process.

  • What it cuts. Flat parts, one per file, from the sheet stock listed under Materials.
  • What it accepts. .dxf.step and .stp files up to 25 MB.
  • What it returns. An itemized quote you can order from directly, priced per design and quantity.

Materials

Every material below is stocked in the thicknesses listed and is selectable in a quote. Density is what shipping weight is derived from. Max size is the largest part the sheet yields once its clamped edge is taken off; min size is the same floor for every stock.

Delrin (Acetal)

A stiff, dimensionally stable engineering thermoplastic with a low coefficient of friction. It machines and cuts cleanly, and holds an edge and a hole size well.

SRPP

Self-reinforced polypropylene: polypropylene fibers in a polypropylene matrix. It springs back into shape after impacts that would shatter carbon fiber or polycarbonate, and it does it at a lower weight than either.

0.236 in (6 mm)foam-core0.51 g/cm³0.25 × 0.25 in23.77 × 23.77 in

Foam-core stock has solid faces over a lightweight core. It is stiffer per gram than the solid sheet and noticeably lighter, but its cut edge exposes the core and fasteners behave differently through it, back clamping loads with a washer or a spreader plate.

Values are manufacturer factory data. The 6 mm foam-core grade is a sandwich, so its density and impact behaviour differ from the solid sheets. Source: Swyft Robotics.

SRPP White

The same self-reinforced polypropylene as SRPP, in white: the same toughness and weight, cut and priced the same.
